COMPENDIUM MUSICAE FLAUTA
La prima opera universale dove si trovano tutte le informazioni sul repertorio flautistico scritto da compositrici. Il volume raccoglie 15.000 titoli di composizioni, circa 3400 diversi tipi di combinazioni strumentali e 2.800 nomi provenienti dai 5 continenti (100 Nazioni) comprese nel periodo storico XVI-XXI. I brani vanno da quelli per flauto solo (ottavino, flauto in sol, flauto basso, flauto contrabasso) fino a formazioni cameristiche di 12 strumenti, da gruppi solistici a formazioni orchestrali, vocali e corali. Il volume porta a conoscenza dei tanti “tesori” musicali che l’umanità ha custodito cercando di favorire una cultura che per secoli è stata presente, vissuta e maturata fin dalle più antiche origini. Questa opera fornisce indicazioni sull’esistenza di un vasto repertorio musicale scritto da donne ancora oggi in parte poco conosciuto. Un importante patrimonio per tutti i flautisti, insegnanti, studenti, musicisti, organizzatori, operatori musicali e culturali, istituzioni, ricercatori e cultori della musica.
COMPENDIUM MUSICAE FLAUTA
The first major work with information about the flute repertoire composed by women gives information for 15,000 titles compositions written for three thousand four hundred ensembles or instrumental combinations and names and information for 2800 women composers in 100 countries. It embraces a period from the sixteenth to the twenty first centuries. The works listed range from those for solo flute (piccolo, flute in G, bass flute, and contrabass flute) up until 12 instruments and chamber ensembles, and includes works with singers, choirs and orchestras. The Compendium aims to promote and divulge musical “treasures” ignored by mainstream music
programmers and musicologists, but which have continued to live through performances in different communities worldwide. It is my hope that this work will provide information about the vast repertoire of music written by women in all times, of all nationalities and working in all genres; an important patrimony for flautists, students, teachers, performers, organisers, musical and cultural operators, institutions, researchers and music lovers.
